The Government of Odisha has accelerated the energization of agricultural borewells under the 'Soura Jalanidhi' and Mo Bidyut schemes, aiming to irrigate an additional 1.2 Lakh hectares of agricultural land.
Scheme Benefits for Odisha Farmers:
- ✔Solar Pump Subsidy: 90% capital subsidy on 0.5 HP, 1 HP, and 2 HP solar water pumps for small farmers.
- ✔Power Tariff: Highly concessional electricity tariff of just ₹1.20 per unit for agricultural lift irrigation.
- ✔Online Tracker: Farmers can apply on sourajalanidhi.odisha.gov.in and track installation milestones with SMS updates.
Field verification will be completed by local block Agriculture Overseers (VAW).
